The past few months have been incredibly challenging in all our lives, not least for our young people. We’ve been closely following the advice and guidance of the Government and the EEF to develop a suite of services here to support your staff and pupils as we head towards full re-openings this September. Our services can be tailored to your individual school needs, contact us today to discuss your plans and see how we can help you deliver outstanding education in the following months.

Student Workshops and Tuition

According to the EEF, "there is extensive evidence supporting the impact of high quality one to one and small group tuition as a catch-up strategy".

We can deliver weekly, one off or intensive key stage three, four and five student workshops and tuition for key groups of students including PP, LPA and HPA. We have already started to plan student workshops to ‘bridge the school closure gaps’ for current year 6, year 10 and year 12 students.

All of our student workshops are interactive, engaging sessions, planned with inside examiner knowledge, live feedback and exemplars. Our student workshop planning is always bespoke for the needs of individual schools and students and we would work closely with your English teachers in order to create a programme that is focused on the areas where students would most benefit.

Intervention Programmes

The EEF report suggests that "in order to support pupils who have fallen behind furthest, structured interventions are likely to be necessary".

We can deliver focused literacy support for your new year 7s who lack secure literacy skills. We would also be able to support your most vulnerable children in terms of pastoral support, working alongside you to create a bespoke package of support including parental engagement.

Our GCSE intervention programmes are focused on assessment, providing students with focused attention on particular exam skills, marking and feedback for students and close monitoring of pupil progress.

Mock Examination Marking

As experienced senior AQA examiners, we can guarantee a rigorous and accurate marking process. We offer a range of mock marking packages, including options with an examiner report on your cohort‘s strengths and weaknesses and personalised student feedback.

Extended School Time

You may be considering extended school provision. We already offer Saturday schools and holiday workshops to schools as well as privately to parents. We would be able to run English holiday or weekend sessions for your students.

Again, we would ensure we worked closely with your English team and tailored these sessions to your students' needs.

Teacher CPD Sessions

We offer a wide range of English teacher training for whole departments or smaller groups of teachers with development needs:

  • sessions on GCSE and A Level mock exam marking

  • subject knowledge sessions for GCSE and A Level

  • ITT and NQT sessions for new and developing English teachers

  • and curriculum planning and department leadership sessions for English leaders.
